Home Disposal

To avoid any environmental risks associated with flushing or throwing out medications, please to take your leftover prescription medications to a take back location in your area so that they can be disposed of properly, or use an SUDS (Single Use Disposal System), such as a  Deterra Pouch.

IF THERE ARE:

  • No prescription take-back programs available in your area
  • No specific disposal instructions on the label

* THEN YOU CAN FOLLOW THESE STEPS FROM THE FDA TO DISPOSE OF MOST MEDICINES IN THE HOUSEHOLD TRASH.

* OR USE AT HOME DISPOSAL POUCH, SUCH AS A DETERRA POUCH.
