Narcan is a brand name for naloxone, which is used to treat known or suspected opioid overdose. Narcan comes as a nasal spray and is used to reverse the effects of opioids on the body.
It is important to note that Narcan is not a substitute for emergency medical care for opioid overdose. After Narcan has been given, call 911 or your local emergency number.
