Adolescence is a time of great change filled with a full range of emotions. The key is learning to manage those emotions, and parents can help. Self-regulation is a skill that can be taught and practiced to control outbursts and impulsive or inappropriate behavior. The trick is not to avoid hard situations. Instead, parents can coach kids through tough situations to help them tolerate life’s stressors.
Popular psychologist Dr. Ferney Ramirez will share the parenting strategies that work to build strong family relationships and help our children be their best self.
